Happy Groundhog Day! Why isn’t this a national holiday?
Yes, we all identify a little with Punxsutawney Phil. We all get asked the same (impossible) questions: "How much more winter, Paul?" "Will we have more snow?" "Will it be an early spring? "What is Don Shelby REALLY like?" It goes on and on.

For the record I did wake up this morning, fall out of bed and see my shadow, meaning six more weeks of falling out of bed and seeing my shadow. At this latitude, six more weeks of winter is a pretty sure bet, especially after the amazingly mild January we just had, more than 20 degrees above average in the Twin Cities. We are due for a little payback, and I’ll be amazed if we just breeze through February and March with no significant cold or snow.

Ok nu ik de techniek eenmaal heb uitgevonden ben ik er helemaal klaar voor. Het ontbreekt me alleen nog aan wat inhoud om te filmen. Het weer is er niet naar om lekker buiten te struinen. Maar als je een verzoeknummer hebt dan voldoe ik daar graag aan.  Natuurlijk maak ik zelf uit of ik de uitdaging aanneem. Ok nu kom maar op met jullie sugesties en ik zal zien wat ik kan doen. Inmiddels heb ik een extra batterij gekocht en tapes voor totaal 25 uur video. Een groothoek lens en filters zijn in aantocht, natuurlijk allemaal via eBay. Roept u maar……….

Gisteren was het 5 jaar geleden dat we getrouwd zijn. Om dat te vieren zijn we naar de chinees geweest en daarna hebben lekker koffie gedronken in Cafe Amore. Alweer 5 jaar geleden, toen ook echt gestopt met roken en nog steeds goed volgehouden, (is nu heel gewoon) M’n Engels, eigelijk Amerikaans, is er ook met sprongen op vooruit gegaan, mensen kunnen me nu ook beter verstaan alhoewel ik waarschijnlijk nooit van m’n Nederlands accent af zal komen. O en ja inmiddels ook Amerikaans staatsburger geworden. Een lieve vrouw een goede baan en een grote auto. Hmmm niet slecht…

Yesterday it was 5 years we have been married. To celebrate we went to the chinees and had nice coffee at Cafe Amore. Also 5 years agoo I realy quit smoking and still do not smoke anymore. (Thats realy normal for me now) My speaking in English or American jumped ahead in skills. People do understand me better. Altough I will never learn to speak without an accent. In the mean time I became an American citizen. I have a lovely wife, a good salary and a big car. Hmmmm not bad….
